If you have been approved to receive the emergency help R $ 600 and R $ 300, but you have not withdrawn the money yet, stay tuned! There is a time limit for withdrawals, which is up to 90 days after the date of deposit of the amount in Caixa’s digital social savings account.

If the withdrawal is not carried out within the maximum period, the amount is returned to the public coffers and, therefore, the beneficiary will lose the aid. According to Caixa, once the security returns to the Union, there is no possibility of recovering the money and making the withdrawal.

However, it should be mentioned that, if one or more previous installments were returned, the following payments are guaranteed, so they can be withdrawn normally, provided that the transaction is carried out within the established period.

For recipients of emergency aid who are also enrolled in the Bolsa Família program, the withdrawal period is longer, reaching 270 days (up to 9 months).

Extension of emergency assistance

In September, President Jair Bolsonaro formalized the extension of emergency aid. In the new stage, up to four installments will be paid, in the amount of R $ 300. According to the president, the new amount was set based on fiscal responsibility and meets the basic needs of a family.

However, not everyone enrolled in the program will receive all of the additional benefit fees. Some of the Brazilians considered eligible to receive the aid will receive one to four installments of R $ 300, depending on the date the first deposit was made. Check out:

  • Those who received the first installment in April will receive four additional installments of R $ 300, which will be paid between September and December;
  • Whoever received the first installment in May will receive three additional installments of R $ 300, to be paid between October and December;
  • Those who received the first installment in June will receive two additional installments of R $ 300, to be paid in November and December;
  • Whoever received the first installment in July will receive only an additional installment of R $ 300, which will be paid in December.

However, many beneficiaries will not receive additional fees, either because they contested the denial and were deemed eligible, and thus began receiving late, or because they lost the right to the benefit under the new rules established for the extension.
