Uriah Hall spoils the Brazilian party and beats Anderson Silva by knockout at UFC Las Vegas 12

What nobody wanted, happened. The legendary Anderson Silva fell before Urías Hall in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 12, held this Saturday (31). After a good start, the former middleweight champion (up to 83.9 kg.) Ended up succumbing to the force of his rival and was defeated by knockout in the fourth round.

Even at 45, Anderson showed good movement and managed to surprise the athlete in some situations. The Brazilian, however, ended up surprised in a counterattack promoted by Hall and, after a sequence of blows, had the confrontation interrupted by the referee, Herb Dean.

After the victory Urías Hall, who is an avowed fan of ‘Spider’, got very emotional in the Octagon, and began to cry. Showing the utmost respect to the former champion, Uriah made all the respectful bows to one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Defeated this weekend, Silva remained in the Octagon meditating, as if thanking him for a victorious race that remains in history. Leaving the scene of the fight, Anderson, visibly excited, made his first statement, confirming his dismissal from the UFC.

The struggle

The showdown began with the athletes studying each other in the center of the Octagon. The Brazilian spun around and tried to find the best moment to attack. The first minute passed and no attack was launched. Uriah took the lead with two punches and Silva responded with a low kick. The Jamaican risked a high kick and ended up unbalanced. ‘Spider’ began to loosen in the duel and launched himself at the opponent with a sequence of punches and kicks. Uriah, however, showed danger in counterattacks. The Jamaican continued to respect the Brazilian a lot, but began to attack Paulista in the final seconds. Silva was caught by a forehand, but the timer was at zero.

In the second stage, the Jamaican attacked again, with a sequence of jabs. The Brazilian responded with a kick to the opponent’s waist. Anderson threw his famous front kick, but the blow scraped across Hall’s face. The confrontation was still tense and the athletes tried not to make mistakes. Silva continued to bet on kicks to the opponent’s body and began to try to induce the opponent to be wrong. The fight continued and the former champion kept moving a lot in the Octagon. Uriah tried to score with punches and kicks, but Anderson held fast on the counter. In the final seconds, Anderson landed a nice high kick and Hall scored with two direct hits to the Paulista’s face.

The third stage began with the Brazilian attacking with a sequence of blows. Hall defended himself well and returned. Silva tried to dominate the center of the octagon and launched a high kick, which stopped at the Jamaican guard. Uriah hit Anderson with two punches, but the former champion continued to advance. The athletes tried to find the best distance. The two round kicks connected, but the attacks were empty. The fight continued hectic, with the fighters scoring between jabs and direct. At the last minute, Silva pressed his opponent against the bars and attacked him with his knees. Urías managed to free himself and returned the attack with a powerful right-wing center, which brought down the Brazilian. Hall continued to attack the former champion, but Anderson was saved by the bell.

Anderson took the lead in the fourth round with a low kick. The Jamaican was still defending well and was in danger with his jabs and direct. Hall again surprised the Brazilian with a fastball, which took the former champion to the ground. This time, Silva was unable to defend himself from the opponent’s attacks, forcing the referee to stop the duel.
