The greatest legend in Brazilian MMA history may have said goodbye to the UFC in a very different way than he deserved. At 45, Anderson Silva even started out great, but ended up knocked out by Uriah Hall, one of those who was once called the ‘new Spider’.
The Brazilian managed to be better in the first two days on his feet, while the rival respected him a lot. However, at the end of the third round, Hall found his opponent’s face and knocked him down. Anderson was saved by the bell, but ended up suffering right at the beginning of the fourth round and was knocked out on the ground and struck on the floor.

The UFC announced the fight against Hall as Anderson’s last at the event, and the Brazilian himself confirmed it. After the fight, he even spoke of “last day”, but left open the possibility to continue fighting.
“Fighting is fighting. When you go there, you have 50% to win. Today uriah was better. I took advantage of my moment. This moment is very difficult for us. Stop. But today was the last day. I am happy to have come.” here and I have given a show to my fans, ”he said.
“First I’m going home. I’ll see it with my team. Let’s see! It’s hard to say it’s the last or not. This is what I do all my life, I do it with my heart,” he added.
Anyway, Anderson Silva needed nothing more to say that his career was brilliant.
The Brazilian still has important records in the UFC, and many say they can never be broken. He has the longest reign as a champion – 2,457 days as a middleweight champion. He also holds the record for belt-fight knockouts (7).
In total, there were 46 fights in his career, with 34 wins, 11 losses and one game without a result.
But Anderson did much more than the numbers show. Mainly responsible for the popularization of MMA in Brazil, it simply inspired generations around the world. Israel Adesanya, for example, is the current champion of the category and has never hidden her idolatry for Spider.
