The move came in the second half. At 55, Otero carried the ball down the left side of the attack. Galhardo, who was looking at him, hit him with a cart and hit the opponent. The referee Paulo Roberto Alves Junior understood that the play was due to a red card and sent off the Colorado player.

After the duel, jersey 17 used social networks to regret the episode. In his Instagram profile he justified himself and assured that he did not want to attack Otero.

– I wanted to apologize to everyone at Inter for the expulsion and, consequently, the absence in the next game of the Brazilian. My record shows that I am not a bad player. It was never my intention to hit Otero on purpose. Unfortunately, the referee interpreted it differently. I’m very upset, but now I have to try to assimilate this in the best possible way to come back even stronger – he says.

Galhardo also gave an interview to the Inter squad. The attacking midfielder said he had not reviewed the play, but did not agree with the referee’s decision. However, he guaranteed that he will return more focused to help the team.

– Many said the video was a bit aggressive. I confess that I have not seen it yet, but I will. He turns yellow, but then he takes out red without anyone from Corinthians asking. I respect your gesture. I do not agree, but I continue. Crying lasts one night, but joy comes in the morning.

Even with the expulsion, Galhardo continues as the isolated scorer for Brasileirão, with 15 goals. He is also the color scorer in 2020, with 20.

Despite the defeat, Inter sleeps on top of Brasileirão, with 35 points. But he can be overtaken by Flamengo and Atlético-MG and fall to third place in the complement of the 19th day, the last of the first.
