With reserves, America loses to Ava and has broken a streak in Serie B

THE GAME

Coach Lisca chose to scale several reserves and preserve important players for the return leg against Corinthians, which is worth the classification indicated in the quarterfinals of the Brazil Cup. The forward received from Guilherme and kicked with a curve, for good defense of Lucas Frigeri. For Leo, Rmulo missed a good opportunity by going after a cross from Jean Lucas. The goalless draw was a good size for the balance of the match.

At the beginning of the second half, America had two clear chances. In the first, at 7, Rodolfo received a gift from the defense, after crossing Felipe Augusto, but Lucas Frigeri saved. In the next minute, the goalkeeper went back to work decisively to deflect Arthur. Ava couldn’t fight, but had Matheus Cavichioli’s mistake to take the lead. He cut badly and the ball was left by Getlio, who scored a beautiful goal, at 17min: 1 to 0.

Lisca, who had traded Guilherme, with a problem in his right shoulder, for Neto Berola, promoted the return of starters such as midfielder Juninho and sprinter Ademir. Forward Lohan was also called to be a benchmark in the area. Ava threatened again and Matheus Cavichioli redeemed himself with a major defense on Rmulo’s wire. Lisca replaced Rodolfo with Leo Passos, in order to increase mobility, but the change had no effect.

The entry of the headlines did not alter the performance of America, which fell in production, while Ava had other occasions that the attackers did not take advantage of.
