Alexsandra da Silva was head shot while selling snacks at the door, in the Lagamar community, in the Aerolândia neighborhood. The young woman was taken away in a car owned by a local resident, and rescued in serious condition to the Dr. José Frota Institute Hospital (IJF), in Fortaleza.
Marcelo Almeida is owner of a tire store near the place where the crime occurred. The establishment and his car were set on fire by residents.in retaliation for the crime. According to the victim’s mother, Cristiane Souza, the assassination attempt was motivated by disagreements between the victim’s family and the suspect’s family.
According to relatives, the victim was selling plates of food to help financially to the sister, who had her wedding scheduled for April 2021.
