Forbidden until a few days behind the scenes in Botafogo, the judicial reorganization recently won the news in black and white as an option to be considered by a club that one of the top leaders considers bankrupt. But the process, for now, is just an alternative. Botafogo is now concentrating its forces on a new project that seeks to achieve the long-awaited S / A.
Called “Project 2,” the new plan has already been presented to managers and will be released in more detail once all the information is consolidated. It is an alternative to “Project 1”, idealized and interpreted by businessman Laércio Paiva, who withdrew from the process.
The previous plan, as Carlos Augusto Montenegro explained in an interview last Wednesday night, had as major investors the Moreira Salles brothers, who together with Laércio defined how they would like the project to be carried out.

Long-time club members and also involved in the construction of the new CT, the brothers would contribute R $ 126 of the R $ 250 million needed as an initial contribution to S / A.

Although he is still seeking to regularize the project, Gustavo has already begun contacting potential investors and knows that time is running out. One mission is to convince people who are willing to invest the R $ 54 million to remain in this new S / A model, which added information from the plan prepared by Laércio.
The debt generated for “Project 1” does not change and remains under the current plan. A new bet to get the “Ferrari out of the mud”.
The difference in Gustavo’s project, according to Montenegro, is in the flexibility. If I had, for example, the R $ 180 million collected in the first model, I would try to reach an agreement with the creditors. So much so that they are already talking to these people to whom the club owes them so that, with money in hand, the offer is forwarded.
But the progress of the project still depends on another process by which Botafogo will run: the election to elect the new president on November 24. It will be up to the next representative to handle the situation.
– If nothing happens, we will have to think about judicial recovery. We cannot have expenses of R $ 10 million per month and a collection of R $ 800 thousand.
