Businessman Paulo Cupertino Matias, accused of shooting actor Rafael Miguel and his parents in June 2019 in São Paulo, was arrested in the north of Paraná on Wednesday (28). The information was confirmed by the general delegate of the São Paulo Civil Police. The name of the city where he was hiding has not yet been revealed. Cupertino had been on the run for a year and four months.
On Monday (26), the Civil Police discovered that the businessman identified himself with a false birth certificate in Jataizinho, in the north of Paraná.
He was using a false name of “Manoel Machado da Silva” as a cover to hide. The murderer did not accept his daughter’s courtship with the boy.

The crime took place in June 2019, in the South Zone of São Paulo. Paulo Cupertino is accused of shooting 13 times against Rafael Miguel and his parents, the couple João Alcisio Miguel, 52, and Miriam Selma Miguel, 50. He did not accept his daughter’s relationship with Rafael Miguel.
On June 19, 2020, Justice made his temporary arrest warrant preventive. Since July of this year, Paulo Cupertino was on the list of most wanted criminals by the SP police.
