The meeting, at the official home of the mayor, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), was scheduled for Tuesday (27), but was postponed to this Wednesday.

The members of the Board of Directors approved this Wednesday the report of the auditor of the Chamber, Paulo Bengtson (PTB-BA), who had recommended that the case be referred to the Ethics Council.

In his report, Bengtson stated that the facts described in the representation rendered before the Chamber by Deputy Léo Motta (PSL-MG), in August, and in the police investigation, “constitute sufficient evidence of irregularities or violations of the rules of decorum and parliamentary ethics “. .

Despite the decision to proceed, the case will not be resumed immediately, as the Ethics Council is closed due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

Its operation depends on the approval by the main plenary session of the Chamber of a draft resolution. However, so far there is no definition for this vote.
