Fugitive since June last year after murdering actor Rafael Miguel and his parents in São Paulo, businessman Paulo Cupertino Matias left a trail in Paraná: an identity document with a new name, affiliation and informing that he was born in the city of Mato Grosso do Sul.
According to Portal G1, the murderer uses the false name ‘Manoel Machado da Silva’ as a cover to hide. The Paraná Civil Police discovered the fraud on Monday (26) and alerted the São Paulo police, which is investigating the homicide and trying to arrest the businessman.
In a video released by the Paraná Civil Police, the director of the IIPR (Identification Institute of Paraná), delegate Marcus Vinicius Michelotto, says that the document has been canceled.
“We immediately canceled this identification. We consulted the Rio Brilhante office in Mato Grosso do Sul, which also found that this document used to carry out the GR, that is, the birth certificate in the name of Manoel Machado da Silva was false ”.
According to the director, the identification institutes in Brazil are not interconnected. “If Paulo Cupertino already had an RG in the State of Paraná, he would not have been able to make a new RG in the name of Manoel Machado da Silva because our database would check these fingerprints and show duplication. And also because of the photo, in the facial confrontation ”.
The identity card was made in Jataizinho, in the interior of Paraná. The fraud was discovered by searching the database at the request of the São Paulo police.
Rafael Miguel and his parents were shot dead on June 9, 2019. The family was surprised by Cupertino when he arrived at the home of the actor’s girlfriend, the merchant’s daughter. The girl’s father did not accept the relationship.
