The main unions of judges and prosecutors reacted to the statements of Ricardo Barros (PP-PR), who, defending a new Constitution, criticized “the control power” of the Justice, the Public Ministry and other control bodies.
“Judges, prosecutors, tax inspectors, TCU agents, CGU agents, cause enormous damage with unfounded accusations and they answer nothing for that, they never answer for anything, and the political activism of the Judiciary is very intense, much more than we could ever. Imagine, then we need to be able to review our system, ”the government leader said earlier.
In a note, the Associative Front of the Judicial Power and the Public Ministry indicated that the declaration “denotes the intention to restrict the autonomy and independence of the members of the Judicial Power for the control and application of the law.”
“In times of crisis, the fundamental principles of the Republic must be preserved, such as political plurality, the harmonious separation between the Powers and the prerogatives of the members of the judiciary. There is no solution to crises outside the constitutional order.
