José Luiz Datena was rushed to the hospital on Sunday (25) after suffering a heart attack. The report found that the presenter of “Urgent Brazil” had surgery to unblock an artery in the heart. The procedure was considered successful by doctors. Now, Datena is still recovering at the Sírio-Libanês hospital in São Paulo.
With Datena away from the Band to recover, reporter Lucas Martins takes over the presentation of “Brasil Urgente”. The journalist has worked at the station for almost 13 years, and this is not the first time he has directed the program. Since 2014, Lucas Martins began to replace Datena in functions, holidays or for special reasons, such as the presenter’s medical license.
Datena told the writing team that she should return to the band on Thursday this week and that she is doing very well after surgery. Until the return of Datena, Lucas Martins continues in the presentation of “Brasil Urgente”.
