The application, initially invented to make emergency benefit payments during a pandemic, such as the FGTS me emergency help, now it will also serve for Family scholarship. Until then, payment is made only at ATMs or ATMs of branches.
The president of Caixa, Pedro Guimarães, explained that the public of the assistance benefit is more sensitive to the issue of technologies. For this reason, the digital account for the payment of the Family scholarship it will be offered “with ease,” he said.
The new option will allow the beneficiary to choose a payment of their preference, either digitally or by traditional means. Without the need to go to an agency to withdraw program resources, the modality will be able to avoid crowds.

CAIXA Tem is the new CAIXA application created to facilitate access for all Brazilians to social services and various banking transactions.
The app is available to download from the Android and iOS stores.
In the application, it is possible to access information on Emergency Aid, benefits and social programs, as well as information for workers such as FGTS, PIS Salary Subsidy and Unemployment Insurance.
In addition, with this application it is possible to make purchases on the Internet using the Virtual Debit Card, generated free of charge in the application itself, and also purchases in stores through a QR Code generated by the merchant on the store’s own machine.
Those who have a CAIXA account can also check account balance and status, make payments and transfers of up to R $ 600 per transaction and up to R $ 1200 per day.
According to Guimarães, Caixa Tem is the digital bank for banking clients who have lower income at the bank, representing 90% of Caixa’s client base.
According to the president, the services offered by the application will continue even after the pandemic, and the bank also intends to add new resources, such as cards, insurance and microcredits.
