Holiday cemeteries
The state government also announced the release of visits to cemeteries on the feast of All Saints, which will be next Monday (2). Visits must respect covid-19 protocols, such as the mandatory use of masks and social distance. In the capital, for example, the suspension of visits to hospitals came into effect at the beginning of the pandemic, in mid-March.
The decision to discharge for the holiday was made by the São Paulo Coronavirus Contingency Center, which is made up of 20 doctors from different specialties.
According to Governor João Doria (PSDB), who made the announcement during a press conference held today in Palácios dos Bandeirantes, in São Paulo, despite state approval, municipalities have autonomy to have the last word.
“The Contingency Center did not establish any limitation on the holiday, especially on Monday, but recommends that they wear masks, avoid crowds and maintain a social distance of 1.5m. And the final decision is up to each municipality ”, explained Doria.
At the same press conference, the government reported that the number of cases and deaths from coronavirus decreased compared to the previous week. There was a 4% reduction in the number of cases and a 5% reduction in deaths.
Qualification program
Doria’s management also announced that it will offer 240 thousand places in professional qualification courses. “There are more than 30 thousand courses in 665 municipalities, in online and face-to-face format,” the governor reported. The vacancies were divided into two groups: “The qualification is 100,000 vacancies. The enterprise is 140,000 vacancies,” said Doria.
The toucan explained that the program has the support of six union centrals, in addition to being carried out in alliance with Sebrae (Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service).
