It is not uncommon to see cats climbing and descending from roofs; from time to time the felines get too high and can’t even go down. But this time, the one who climbed to the roof of a ranch in Timbó, in the Itajaí Valley (SC), was a cow, which ended up trapped. The animal was rescued by firefighters in the region yesterday morning (25).
It all started around 11 in the morning, when the owner of the cow realized that the animal was on top of the ranch. He immediately called the fire department.
The owner also hired a veterinarian to sedate the animal, before it was rescued from the roof.
He said, according to the TV Globo program Bom Dia Santa Catarina, that the cattle climbed the tiles down a side street, which is higher than the roof of the ranch.
The animal was pulled up there with ropes and a device called an anchor, until it slipped off the tiles. After a veterinary evaluation, it was concluded that the cow was fine with only a few abrasions on the legs.
