According to the report of the Military Police, the accident occurred next to the Febem square. A gray Kadett crashed into a post. The Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) was called and the death of Pedro Henrique de Oliveira was confirmed.

He, who was in the front passenger seat, was found by soldiers with half his body outside the vehicle and a lot of bleeding on his head. The other 22-year-old, who was driving, was found sitting in the central workplace.

He told police officers that the three were at a birthday party and had consumed alcohol. However, “he did not remember what had happened and who was driving.” The man had head trauma and was referred to the João XXIII Emergency Hospital.

The third occupant of the car, aged 20, left the scene of the accident and was found in the Diamond Emergency Care Unit (UPA) with minor injuries. The young man stated that he was in the back seat and did not know what had happened either.

A witness told police that he saw the vehicle turn violently and hit the post. It was raining at the time of the collision. The post had structural damage and the incident was recorded with Detran.
