Last Friday (23), during Operation São Paulo Mais Seguro, military police from the 17th Battalion of Metropolitan Military Police arrested a man suspected of drug trafficking in Mogi das Cruzes, on the border with Guararema.
According to the PM, the team was seen by the individual next to a tree and, realizing that it would approach him, began running towards an existing lake nearby. He then reportedly left a bag on the shore and entered the lake with the intention of misleading the police, however he ended up being detained while still in the water.
During the personal search, an amount of R $ 100.25 in cash was found in his possession and, in the bag, 88 portions of crack, 56 of cocaine and 14 of marijuana, the Military Police reported.
The individual, who already had a criminal record for the crime of theft, was transferred to the Central de Flagrantes of the 1st Police District of Mogi das Cruzes, where he was arrested.
