A man posing as a millionaire to beat women was preventedly detained on Thursday afternoon (22), in Rio, by agents of the 20th DP (Vila Isabel). According to the police, Eliézer de Queiroz Moreira, 33 years old, is suspected of raping and threatening victims.

The delegate responsible for the investigation, Christian Maiahe said to G1 that Eliezer will answer for four crimes.

“He made more than 50 women victims, some from other states, who spent money to come to Rio. He has already been denounced, he will answer for four crimes: rape, embezzlement, illegal coercion and corruption of minors. If he is convicted, he can get more 30 years old ”, he explained.

In a network of relationships, Eliézer posed as someone else and showed photos of the American journalist Freddy Shermann, with cars and luxury items, like him.

During the conversations, the fake millionaire told the women that he had a nephew, that he suffered from depression, and that they could relate to him in exchange for gifts, money and other benefits.

This nephew was, in fact, Eliezer, the same one who applied the blows. However, the victims believed the “sugar daddy” story because they received proof of payment prior to the meeting. One of them had a value of R $ 7 thousand.

Only later did the victims discover that he was a scammer, who threatened, assaulted and abused the victims, according to police investigations.

“I always made appointments on Fridays and sent proof of deposit. The victims paid the costs of motels, restaurants, thinking that they would receive the money to cover the expenses. When Monday arrived, the money did not fall into his account. , and only then did they know that they were their victims ”, revealed the delegate.

Eliezer was arrested in August, with temporary imprisonment, but was released shortly after. The delegate explained that the August prison was not converted to preventive because the investigation is still ongoing and the evidence is still being analyzed. Also according to research, Eliezer continued to commit crimes after being released.

“One of the victims had a daughter with cancer and promised that he would take care of the girl’s treatment in exchange for sexual favors. This was a case that attracted attention,” said police chief Cristiano.
