The measure called Request for Delivery Date (DER) allows the person to change the date of the retirement claim, if this is to benefit him, which results in the receipt of a higher income, since the beneficiary can enter a better rule of transition.
In addition, you can change the minimum retirement conditions and guarantee another type of benefit to earn more. The beneficiary manages to receive more throughout his life and can still leave a larger pension to the heirs.
Lose part of the arrears
According to the lawyer Rômulo Saraiva, in an interview with Agora da Folha de S. Paulo, modifying the date of the retirement application a right guaranteed by the social security legislation, according to the provisions of article 619, of normative instruction 77, 2015.
The bad news for those who are going to change the day of the order is the loss of part of the arrears, since the beneficiary when opening a new application ends up renouncing the previous fees since the initial date is no longer valid.

Five transition rules were established by the Social Security reform for those who are in the labor market and must be taken into account when changing the date of the retirement application, they are:

Those who, while waiting to reach a different rule than the one that is adjusted to the date of the application, can reaffirm the DER, because they have the right to receive more.
How to order?
When the person schedules retirement, the INSS asks through the Internet or through an application if the DER can be reaffirmed. The question will be the following: “If you are not entitled to the benefit as of today (protocol date), do you authorize the INSS to change the date of entry of the application to the date on which it acquired the necessary conditions to grant the benefit? “
If you want to reaffirm the DER automatically, answer “Yes”; otherwise choose “No”. Those who did not make the decision initially or want to reinforce the date change should submit a DER reaffirmation request from Meu INSS. Follow the step by step:
- Access Meu INSS or meu.inss.gov.br and enter your password;
- Look for “Schedules / Requests” and then locate your process;
- Click on it and follow the instructions to submit a file;
- Take a clear image of the DER reaffirmation request and attach it to the system by clicking “Attach file”
