a Stole ended with a suspect dead and another seriously injured at dawn this Friday in the Regio de New sale, in Belo Horizonte. According to the Military Police (PM), those involved, aged 16 and 19, collided with the stolen car while fleeing the Rua Pedro Pedro Pinto.

The vehicle, a silver Renault Logan, belonged to a driver from application. According to the prime minister, the victim said she was called to run a race in the Tupi neighborhood, in the northern region of the city. Upon reaching the address, two boys got on. He drove a few meters until the oldest asked him to stop to pick up an object and a sum of money at his house, which is on the same street. The driver said that upon returning from the residence, the man said that he needed to go to Bairro Vista do Sol, in the Northeast Region, but that he did not have money for the costs of the race. However, the pilot did not accept and said he would cancel the race.

Faced with the refusal, the teenager who was with him pulled out a knife, put it on the driver’s neck, threatened and told him to get into the trunk. The driver reacted and the suspect tried to stab him in the chest, but the victim swerved and ended up suffering a superficial cut in the region of the ribs. The owner of the car managed to run away and the couple escaped taking the car.

The PM was activated by the victim shortly before 2 am. He provided medical attention and helped the military track the vehicle using the GPS on his cell phone, which had been taken.

Vehicles from different regions received the alert for theft. The car was spotted by one of them on Rua Padre Pedro Pinto towards Ribeiro das Neves, in Grande BH. The car ended up being approached at the next Justinpolis Emergency Care Unit (UPA). Police gave signals to stop, but the driver sped away. The car was seen again in Bairro Santa F, but later the police lost sight of it.

The search continued until the car was located again at Rua Padre Pedro Pinto, at number 2,180, destroyed after hitting the wall of a building. One of the occupants was ejected and the other was attached to the hardware. The Fire Department and the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) were called and the death of the first suspect, the minor, was confirmed. The other, who was driving, was taken out of the car and taken to the Joo XXIII Hospital, where he was escorted. The Fire Department reports that his condition was serious. The man was undocumented.

After the expertise of the Civil Police, the car was towed and taken to a patio. The event was closed at the Division for Guidance and Protection of Children and Adolescents (Dopcad).
