Chosen by TV Globo commentators as the star of the match between Vasco and Corinthians, in Timão’s 2-1 victory in São Januário, midfielder Gustavo Mantuan will be absent in the next two matches for the São Paulo team.
At the age of 19, Mantuan was called up by coach André Jardine to play the preparatory matches for the South American 2021.

Timão got his release for Wednesday’s match, but will have to perform in Itu on Thursday morning, where he will remain until October 31.
Mantuan will be absent in the first match against América-MG, on the 28th, for the round of 16 of the Brazil Cup, and in the duel against Internacional, leaders of Brasileirão, on the 31st.

Mantuan made his debut against Sport and has already participated in seven games for Brasileirão. Against Vasco, he scored his first goal in the professional team.
