Miguel Ángel Ramírez will not be the coach of Palmeiras. This Monday (20), the São Paulo club gave up hiring the Spaniard, after the coach informed the board of his will to complete the work he had been doing during the season. The information is from ‘ESPN’, confirmed by the report of the Interactive sport.
Ramírez even accepted alviverde’s invitation, but warned that he would like to stay, at least, until mid-December, if the team did not qualify for the final stage of the Ecuadorian Championship. In a rush to resolve the issue, Palmeiras ended negotiations and will move on to other names.
Recently there has been speculation about Uruguayans Gustavo Munúa, former Nacional, and Gustavo Poyet, former Bordeaux, from France, as well as Argentine Guillermo Barros Schelotto, former Boca Juniors.
Palmeiras have been looking for a coach since Vanderlei Luxembourg left last Wednesday (14), after losing at home to Coritiba, 3-1, at Allianz Parque, for the Brazilian Championship.
