Previously, the sambista posted on one of his social networks to talk about the death of his grandson during a funk dance in Morro da Bacia, in the district of Miguel Couto, also in Nova Iguaçu.

In the post, it has the word “mourning” on a black background (see at the end of this article), Neguinho thanked him for the messages he received and spoke about the family’s moment of pain. He asked the authorities to clarify Gabriel’s death.

Gabriel’s father, Paulo César Marcondes, is the son of the samba player.

According to the Military Police, men from the 20 BPM (Mesquita) were shot while reviewing a report of an unauthorized event on a street in Morro da Bacia on Sunday morning.

Four people were hit and three died, including Gabriel Ribeiro Marcondes, 20, the grandson of samba player Neguinho da Beija-Flor.

There was a funk dance at the venue. Gabriel was even taken to Posse Hospital, but he didn’t resist.

Besides him, two other people died. The dead are Mateus da Silva Gomes and a man not yet identified by the police. The fourth victim was arrested in flagrante delicto for trafficking, association and attempted homicide.

The case is investigated by the 58th DP (Posse). The Civil Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crime.

Gabriel’s death certificate, obtained by G1, testified the cause of death as “injury caused by a firearm projectile.”
