The telenovela between Palmeiras and Miguel Ángel Ramírez should have a quick ending and a happy ending for the alviverde fan. This Monday (19), Anderson Barros, Verdão football director, and Paulo Buosi, vice president of the club, submitted the new contract with the Spanish coach, who received the invitation to command Verdão for the next two years.

To reduce the loss of Independiente Del Valle, Miguel Ángel’s current club, Verdão must pay the coach’s fine, which is R $ 5.5 million. There is also the possibility for clubs to negotiate players, at Ramírez’s request.

The official announcement now only depends on the payment of the fine to Ecuadorians.

Along with Miguel Ángel Ramírez, Palmeiras must also have his technical assistants: the Portuguese goalkeeping coach, Ricardo Pereira, the technical assistant, Martín Anselmi, the Argentine, the second technical assistant, Felipe Sánchez, and the physical trainer, Francisco Trujillo.

Alviverde Imponente can have a foreign coach again at the age of six. The last ‘gringo’ commander to command the Grand Champion of Brazil was Argentine Ricardo Gareca, who was briefly at the club in 2014.

The relationship of the Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras with foreign coaches has a long history, so much so that Argentine Filpo Nuñez is one of the greatest commanders in the history of Verdão, having been one of those responsible for the historic first ‘Academy’ of the club.

Miguel Ángel Ramírez came to Independiente Del Valle in 2018 to lead the team’s youth teams. The following year, he took over the main team and won the Copa Sudamericana, the biggest title in Del Valle’s history.
