The PSOL candidate for the Municipality of São Paulo, Guilherme Boulos, criticized the insistence on trying to turn him against the PT during an interview with the State of São Paulo when answering a question from journalist Eliane Catanhêde.
“Eliane, I think you guys don’t want to generalize, but some of you in the press have an obsession with the PT that I have a hard time understanding, you know? Bolsonaro is the governor of Brazil, not the PT, the governor of the state of São Paulo is Doria, who is not from the PT, and who governs the municipality of São Paulo is Bruno Covas, who is not from the PT. Why am I going to have PT as my opponent? I have to have as an adversary who is destroying the country with an authoritarian project and who is destroying the State and the city with an elitist project ”, declared the PSOL candidate.
The journalist asked the following: “All the candidates he mentioned, all of them, were from the same party, the same PT. Is it time for the PT and its party, the PSOL, to stop being an auxiliary line of the PT and to take over the city of São Paulo? Time to change the PT? ”.
Boulos shared the video of the response on his social networks. “Our opponents are not on the left!” He wrote on Twitter.
In the interview, Catanhêde herself also asked her if she would like the support of Lula -which, according to her, could increase the rejection of Boulos- and she replied that her wish was to have the support of the majority of the population “At this moment Lula has his party and his candidate ”, he declared.
