Leaving DHPP without being handcuffed, towards Ceresp da Gameleira, the parliamentarian said few words. He denied being involved in the crime, said he knew the victim for a short time and that the disagreement between the two was due to Ronaldo taking over the union instead of Hamilton.

Ronaldo was arrested late in the morning in Bairro Castelo, in the Pampulha region. The councilor was traveling in a truck on Avenida Tancredo Neves when he approached him. He did not resist arrest and officers took him away in the back seat. Another five people were arrested in the operation on Thursday in compliance with court orders, in the capital, in cities of the metropolitan region and in a municipality in another region not disclosed by the Civil Police.

The criminal lawyer Antônio Salvo, who defends the councilor in this case, said that the councilor’s testimony lasted about twenty minutes and most of the five hours that the parliamentarian spent in the police station was waiting for other steps: “They [Ronaldo e a vítima] They had political, union problems, nothing to justify Ronaldo taking such action. This Friday (16), the PCMG should detail in a press conference the participation of those involved in the case, which took place in secret.
