The arrival of Luiz Felipe Scolari at Cruzeiro surprised many people this afternoon. The coach agreed with the club the sequence of Series B of the Brazilian Championship and signed a contract until December 2022. But another detail also caught the attention of the fans: Felipão’s mustache. Or rather, the lack of it.
In the video released by the Minas Gerais club, the coach appeared with president Sérgio Santos Rodrigues and posed with Raposa’s shirt. The change in the already known visual, however, surprised and generated reactions on social networks.
“Felipão without a mustache? Must be his brother. False,” joked one user. “This Felipão without a mustache is on the face of a clone,” published another.
With or without a mustache, Luiz Felipe Scolari faces Cruzeiro with a difficult mission. The team is going through a bad time of the season and is fighting against relegation to Serie C.
This will be the coach’s second visit to the club. He was the Copa Sul Minas champion for the club in 2001 before taking over the Brazilian team and winning the penta at the 2002 World Cup.
