Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the requirement for beneficiaries who had to take the life test between March and October 31 was suspended. While the state of emergency lasts in the country, the terms can be extended by the INSS.
The annual test-of-life requirement for retired federal employees, pensioners, and civil political amnesties is also suspended until the 31st of this month. This suspension was determined in March and then extended until September 30.
Proof of life by proxy
Beneficiaries who need to prove their life can do so through a power of attorney. Before, the power of attorney must be made at a notary and registered with the INSS. Now, during a pandemic, beneficiaries can do so online, without having to go to the registry office or register with the INSS.

The rule is valid for 4 months from July 27 and applies in cases of travel, contagious disease or inability to travel by the INSS insured over 60 years of age.
