The dentist Bárbara Machado Padilha, 32, was buried this Thursday morning (15), in Tupanciretã, in the central region of the state. After four days missing, the woman’s body was found, on the afternoon of Wednesday (14), in an area of forest, difficult to access, in Santa María, 90 km away.
“Barbara was found dead and it appears, for now, that it is a suicide. The bag was not found,” says Chief Sandro Meinerz.
According to the delegate, Barbara had scrapes, probably caused by branches, since the forest in the region is closed. Police arrived at the scene due to the dentist’s cell phone signal.
The autopsy report, which will indicate the cause of death, awaits the result of complementary tests, which will be carried out by the General Institute of Experts (IGP), in Porto Alegre. It is investigated whether the woman ingested alcohol, drugs or medication.
