PF attacks criminal assets and confiscates R $ 1.5 million house in PR

This morning, the Federal Police launched the Boa Vista operation, which aims to dismantle a criminal organization based in the city of Guaíra, in western Paraná. 20 court orders were executed, eight of which were for preventive detention and 12 for search and seizure.

Warrants involve the seizure of assets and the blocking of investigated accounts. One of the houses taken over by the PF, which would belong to one of the group’s leaders, would be valued at more than R $ 1.5 million.

PF’s strategy is to act in a way that undercapitalizes criminal organizations. In addition to the luxury home, two other properties were seized in the operation.

26 vehicles, six boats, a jet sky, three volumes of electronic products and R $ 22 thousand in cash were also seized. In total, the FP estimates that the value of the seizures will reach R $ 10 million.

During the search of one of the properties, a fugitive from Justice was located. Two other people were arrested in flagrante delicto for illegal possession of a firearm; the weapons were also seized.

The operation had the participation of about 60 federal police officers and with the support of the Paraná Civil and Military Police. One of the arrest warrants is executed in Bauru (SP) and the others in Guaíra. The court orders were issued by the Federal Court of Guaíra.

Investigations began in July

The investigations began in June of this year after the discovery that a rural property, located on the shores of Lake Itaipu, was being frequently used for the removal and storage of illegal goods from the neighboring country.

The activities were divided, with a part of those investigated dedicated to the smuggling and embezzlement of electronic products, pesticides and medical equipment (endoscopy, ultrasound devices, etc.) and the other part was dedicated to drug and arms trafficking, as reported. with the PF.

In the last four months, the PF estimates that this criminal organization lost the equivalent of R $ 4.2 million in seized illicit products.

During the due diligence, several apprehensions and arrests in flagrante delicto of members of the criminal organization were made, among them more than 100 kg of cocaine / crack base paste, bound for the state of São Paulo, and 20 5.56 caliber rifles in the false fund of a vehicle owned by one of those investigated.
