Seventeen inmates flee Papuda at dawn

Seventeen inmates fled the Papuda Prison Complex during the early hours of Wednesday (10/14). According to the Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration of the Federal District (Seape), the group left the roof of Wing C of Block 1.

At the time of publication, two fugitives had been recaptured. Criminal Police officers working in the unit, emergency personnel from the Directorate of Special Penitentiary Operations (DPOE) and the Federal District Military Police try to capture the other 15 fugitives.

“All the necessary measures are already being taken, both to capture the fugitives and to investigate the circumstances in which the escape occurred,” says the Secretary of the DF Prison Administration, Chief Agnaldo Curado.
