In the 24 hours prior to the balance at 8 pm on Monday, the country had 203 new deaths from Covid-19 registered by state health departments, reaching a total of 150,709 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
In confirmed cases, there were 5,102,603 as of 8:00 p.m. Monday, 8,624 of those registered in 24 hours. The moving average of new cases was 23,158 per day, a variation of -12% in relation to the cases registered in 14 days, which indicates stability.
Only one state shows an increase in deaths: Acre, with a 33% increase. The variation, however, is influenced by the low number of daily deaths: the state has a moving average of 1 death per day.
In the second, before the publication of the fall in the moving average of deaths in Brazil, the director of emergencies of the World Health Organization (WHO), Michael Ryan, affirmed that the trend of stability in the pandemic figures of the country was positive, but there was one of “very, very high” numbers, and that no country was “out of the woods yet.”
