Covid-19: Brazil registers 290 deaths in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health released on Sunday (11) the numbers of the covid-19 in Brazil. Since the beginning of the pandemic until now, 5,091,979 cases of the disease and 150,488 deaths have been diagnosed.

In the last 24 hours, 12,342 new cases and 290 deaths were registered. Another 2,200 deaths are still under investigation and 474,000 people are receiving treatment. In total, 4.47 million people who have had the disease are now fully recovered.

The fatality rate is 3% and mortality per 100,000 inhabitants is 71.6. The incidence of cases of the new coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants is 2,424.5.

The state of São Paulo has the highest number of diagnoses of the disease since the beginning of the pandemic, with 1,037,660 cases and 37,256 deaths. Then comes Bahia (325,957 cases and 7,128 deaths), Minas Gerais (322,936 cases and 8,127 deaths) and Rio de Janeiro (283,675 cases and 19,308 deaths).
