Mano Menezes could be heard saying that referee José Mendonça da Silva Junior no longer whistles from Bahia. With the final whistle of the game, the coach shouted from the edge of the field:
– Leave that bum there! – to later say that José Mendonça would no longer whistle.

“That’s a shame,” says Elías from a penalty
Elías complains about the refereeing: “I play 0-0. Too bad to give a penalty like that”
On leaving the field, defensive midfielder Elías also criticized the referee’s performance in the match.
– Fluminense did its job. And there was the work of refereeing. Not even with the VAR can he whistle, hey. They are joking. Doubtful yesterday’s offer. Today, another dubious move. And so it goes on. There’s the VAR, guys. They should beep with the VAR. What a shame, to call a penalty like that. So sorry. But it is to congratulate Fluminense on the victory. We tried to run. We match the game. Today I think it was a 0-0 match. Unfortunately, with the help of the referees, they won.
With the defeat, Bahía is left with 15 points, in the 13th position of the standings. The team returns to the field next Friday, when it faces Goiás, in Serra Dourada, at 8pm (Brasilia time).
