The president of Santos, Orlando Rollo, spoke this Sunday (11) for the first time about the hiring of Robinho, in an interview with sheet when he arrived at Vila Belmiro for the match against Grêmio, for the Brazilian Championship.

Rollo said that the Santos fans loved the signing, and that the negative reaction was only from other fans, who would have had “elbow pain.” Asked if he really did not see criticism from the fans, he said that they are premature, since the sentence is not final.
“Robinho is not condemned with final judgment. Who are we to throw a stone at Robinho? To throw the first stone that never sinned. And did he sin? We will await the outcome of the process,” he said.
Part of the crowd recalled the campaigns that the club has recently carried out, to raise awareness in the fight against violence against women, and considered the association hypocritical for ignoring the issue when the Santos idol was hired.
“I respect everyone’s opinion [as mulheres]. The 2017 sentence came when the athlete had already left the European country and was defending Atlético-MG. According to the investigation, the case occurred on January 22, 2013 in Milan, the victim was an Albanian woman who was 22 years old at the time.
According to the complaint, Robinho and five friends intoxicated her with alcohol until she could not refuse the sexual act. He was also ordered to pay 60,000 euros (R $ 233,000) to the woman.
The athlete’s lawyer, Marisa Alija, published a video on her social networks at the end of Saturday night in which she assures that the process is “in the first phase, moving on to the second phase.” “There are at least three, up to four degrees of appeal, as is the case with the Italian Justice,” he said.
According to her, as there is no prison sentence, there is no impediment for her to leave Brazil to play for Santos, for example.
The agreement between Robinho and Santos became official this Saturday (10), at CT Rei Pelé, with a duration of five months, until the end of the Brazilian Championship, in February 2021.
The salary, according to the club, will be symbolic of R $ 1,500, but it also involves other performance assets, providing bonuses of R $ 300 thousand after ten games played and another R $ 300 thousand after 15 games. However, the amounts will only be paid next year.
In addition, Santos renegotiated the installment of the debt with the player, estimated at R $ 1.3 million. “There was an agreement, yes [para a dívida]. To have a striker in the Nacional, the Vila Belmiro team must register him with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) until this Monday (12), although it is a holiday.
