After a balanced first round, Cory Sandhagen drew a round shot from his hat to beat Marlon Moraes by TKO 1m03s from the second round, in the main UFC fight: Moraes x Sandhagen, this Saturday, in Ilha da Luta, in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The American is recovering from the setback suffered against Aljamain Sterling, while the Brazilian, who came from a positive result against José Aldo, now has two setbacks in the last three meetings.

With the constant movement of the two fighters, the fight started at a fast pace. Sandhagen tried to use his wingspan to touch his opponent, but the Brazilian managed to jump into action and hit at close range. The two alternate moments of hitting superiority – Sandhagen with more volume and Marlon with more power – and, in the closing seconds of the first round, Marlon landed a takedown.

At the start of the second round, Sandhagen landed a shot to the head of Marlon, which was the knockdown. The American went up to hit, and the referee interrupted, guaranteeing the technical knockout for the fighter.
