Federal Deputy Flordelis (PSD-RJ) held an afternoon of praise this Thursday (8), inside her own home, in the Pendotiba Region in Niterói, after presenting herself at the headquarters of the Penitentiary Administration (Seap) in São Gonçalo and fit the electronic anklet, as determined by the courts.
She is accused of being responsible for the murder of her husband, Pastor Anderson do Carmo, in June of last year. The deputy remains free by mandate in the Chamber of Deputies. In this case, the Constitution guarantees prison immunity, with the exception of flagrant incidents of heinous crimes.

The parliamentarian, her seven children and a granddaughter appear as defendants in the death of Pastor Anderson do Carmo, the parliamentarian’s husband, murdered on his return home, in the Piratininga neighborhood of Niterói, in June last year.

Flordelis’s defense came in with a habeas corpus so that the congresswoman did not wear the anklet, but the Rio de Janeiro Justice maintained the obligation to use the electronic anklet.
Flordelis’s defense alleged that the deputy was subjected to illegal coercion, being the main defendant, and that, in addition, his nocturnal recollection had already been decreed. He also argued that Flordelis had already given him his passport.
Judge Celso Ferreira Filho, however, did not accept the defense’s motives and decided to maintain the parliamentary’s obligation to wear electronic anklets.
