The São Paulo police arrested Leandro Charias, known as ‘Nêgo Charia’, one of the most wanted criminals in the country on Friday (25). Suspected of participating in at least 30 bank robberies, he was located in the Jardim Nossa Senhora do Carmo neighborhood. Information is from G1.
According to Department 5 of Patrimony and Bank Robbery of the State Criminal Investigations Department (Deic), Charias is responsible for crimes of extortion through kidnapping, generally against bank administrators and a criminal organization.
Among the attacks in which the former military policeman participated is the invasion, in December last year, through a tunnel, of the Banco do Brasil vault, in Campo Grande (MS).
