Palmeiras will not accept the postponement request made by Flamengo in relation to next Sunday’s match, scheduled for Allianz Parque, at 4 pm (Brasilia time), and valid for the 12th round of the Brazilian Championship.

On a social network, Verdão published a statement from President Maurício Galiotte.

– Palmeiras opposes the postponement of the match next Sunday. The protocol adopted for the competition contemplates situations of this type. Therefore, there is no reason why the game should not take place.

The Rio de Janeiro club sent a letter to the CBF on Tuesday requesting that the match on the 27th be postponed, claiming a technical loss due to the contamination of seven players with Covid-19.

The understanding of the people of Verdão at this time is that the Brazilian Championship already has an established protocol and procedures defined by the CBF and the health authorities for these cases.
