A woman was beaten during a police approach in Macapá on Friday (18). The video of the police action went viral on social networks on Sunday (20). Educator Eliane Espírito Santo da Silva, 39, was arrested for resistance, contempt and disobedience after the rapprochement. The information is from G1.

According to Eliane, she was released after posting bail of 800 reais. “For me, this was torture, it greatly affected my psychology. […] They called me black, they called me a whore at the police station. I felt offended and for me it was a great prejudice, because we were the only black people there, ”the teacher told G1.

“The right thing was for everyone to be heard. Why am I going to post bail for a crime I did not commit? Why did the policeman attack me if I did not offend him and was only recording a video? ”, He added.

In the video, recorded by Eliane’s son, the police approach two men. Then, one of the PM gives the pedagogue an arresting voice and tries to immobilize her. The officer then takes the woman to the ground and hits her in the face. They handcuff her and take her to the vehicle.

According to the Amapá Military Police, the case will be investigated. The police officer beat Eliane to get them to suspend shifts on the streets. On social media, Governor Waldez Góes said the images “shame the security forces and the State of Amapá.” “Scenes like this cannot be tolerated and cannot be repeated,” he wrote.
