Brazil registered 858 new deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to data published on Friday 18 by the Ministry of Health. In total, the country has already registered 135,793 deaths from the disease.
Since this Thursday, the 17th, until today, 39,797 new cases of covid have been registered, bringing the total in the country to 4,495,183. Of these, 3,789,139 (84.3%) correspond to those recovered from the disease, according to the Ministry of Health, and 570,251 (12.7%) are under follow-up. There are still 2,352 deaths under investigation.
The State of São Paulo has a total of 924,532 cases of the new coronavirus, with 33,678 deaths. Bahia has 292,019 records of the disease and 6,181 deaths. This Friday, Minas Gerais reached 265,185 cases of covid-19 and 6,574 deaths. Rio de Janeiro has 249,798 cases of the disease and 17,575 deaths.
