The way people usually say goodbye to their loved ones varies depending on the local culture. At a recent burial in Manta, Ecuador, what was supposed to be a funeral procession turned into an at least unusual farewell.
At one point during the funeral, a woman climbs onto the coffin and begins to dance and roll to the rhythm of reggaeton. In addition, she took advantage of the fact that the urn was ajar to kiss the deceased.
Those present at the funeral recorded the scene and the images went viral on social networks.
The newspaper “El Universo” reported that the dead man was Marlo Mero Quijije, 38, a victim of three shots. He was eventually rescued, but could not resist his injuries.
Local police say the man was the target of the robbers and would have reacted.
