The young Glaucielle da Silva Dias, known on social networks as Glau Dias, was accused of having defrauded the quota system of the contest for an agent of the Federal Police, by the Center for Selection and Promotion of Events, of the University of Brasilia ( Cespe / Cebraspe) in 2018.

This week, a photo of Glaucielle in the heteroidentification test went viral on the networks along with current images of the young woman. In the image of the banking day, the woman appears with curly hair and darker skin, which generated suspicion on the part of Internet users, since the image is different from those recently published on her profile.

According to Glaucielle’s lawyers, the images that determined the candidate’s color were made by Cespe himself. “The panel responsible for the hetero-identification examination was made up of five examiners, all members of black movements,” says the defense in a document shared on social networks.

Also in the networks, Glaucielle shared a video in which he assures that he did not disappoint the quota system and that he considers himself a “black brown”. “I am black, yes. Black is not just the red. If you suffered prejudice, you suffered discrimination at some point in your life, it is. I will never tell myself that I am white. I am not. That would be denying my origin. I am a black mulatto, ”he said.

Exoneration

Last Monday (14), the Official Gazette of the Federation published Glaucielle’s dismissal. In the video, the young woman explains that she herself asked to leave to dedicate herself to a family business. The Federal Police reported that they “are investigating the circumstances of the case.”

In a note to G1, Cespe reported that he did not take photos on the day of the selection. “Cebraspe does not take photos in the hetero-identification stage, this stage is done in person and is recorded on video at the time it is happening,” he explained.

The agency also said the board “assesses whether the candidate has physical characteristics of a black person, reviewing hair texture and skin color, among others.” Also according to Cespe, the procedure is carried out by people “with experience in public policies to combat racism.”
