On Thursday (17) the police arrested Luciano Castro de Oliveira, known as “Zequinha”, one of the criminals most wanted by the Justice. According to the Police, the 46-year-old man was detained on a farm in Tejupá (SP), along with his 42-year-old wife. The information is from G1.
According to the Ministry of Justice, Luciano was wanted for crimes against property, criminal organization and money laundering. He acted in all the states of the country and also in Mercosur.
The investigations that led to Luciano’s capture lasted five months. The action included a strategic scheme that involved teams from the Tactical Force, Military Police, Avaré General Investigation Commission (DIG), as well as the Environmental Police and specialized personnel from the Internal Vigilance Command, with the support of drones and dogs. trackers.
According to the Ministry of Public Security (SSP), the case will be presented at the Avaré police station.
Conviction history
Zequinha was convicted of bank robbery in 1992, in the city of Campinas (SP), in addition to illegal possession of a weapon, use of a false document, conspiracy, robbery, which is robbery with death, extortion and kidnapping. In 1994, he was released through a presidential pardon.
According to the police, in 2005, the criminal was arrested again for forming a gang when he was digging a tunnel to rob a bank in São Paulo. In 2006 he was investigated for being suspected of trying to rob a bank in Asunción, the Paraguayan capital, again using a tunnel.
Still, according to G1, it is suspected that Zequinha coordinated, in 2017, the attack on a strong car in Itupeva. The offender was sentenced to 30 years in prison, in addition to having a preventive detention order.
