Kairo amaral, a journalist who worked as a correspondent for Rede Clube, a TV Globo subsidiary in Piauí, died at the age of 24. In addition to working at Rede Clube, Kairo was a well-known figure on local radio, having his most recent job at Rádio Liderança. The reporter’s family confirmed the contact information made by UOL.
Kairo had been on sick leave for about a year, battling cancer. After her last chemotherapy session, she had kidney complications and her condition deteriorated.
The journalist’s body was veiled at a funeral home in Parnaíba and the burial is scheduled for 4 in the afternoon, in the same city.
On social media, the journalist’s fans mourned his death in his last post. “How sad”, “Rest in peace” and “My feelings towards family members” were some of the messages.
