The 3rd Criminal Court of Niterói denied the request for revocation of the preventive detention of Adriano dos Santos Rodrigues, one of the biological children of federal deputy Flordelis (PSD-RJ), accused of being responsible for the murder of her husband, Pastor Anderson do Carmo, in June 2019 in Niterói, metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro.

According to the decision of Judge Nearis dos Santos Arce, “Adriano, at first, chose to get involved in the plot to hide the truth about the crime of consummated murder that victimized Pastor Anderson, hindering the ongoing investigation and the process regular criminal proceedings already initiated before the defendants Flávio and Lucas (Adriano’s brothers) ”.
According to the magistrate, the preventive detention of Adriano, “preferably in a penitentiary unit different from that of the prisoners, is essential to guarantee criminal investigation, in order to avoid any attempt to obstruct justice, at least until the end of the instructional stage ”. .
In the same decision, the judge also denied the revocation of the detention of Andrea Santos Maia, wife of former military police Marcos Siqueira, who was detained in the same cell as Flávio and Lucas. According to the complaint, Andrea, who was authorized to visit her husband, had worked with Flordelis in all stages of the falsification of the letter, including the payment. She is responsible for the crimes of criminal association and use of false documents.
