An argument between neighbors resulted in the death of a man and a 11 year old boy, this Friday afternoon (11), in the Conjunto Nova Metrópole neighborhood, in Caucaia, Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza. A 65-year-old woman and another 9-year-old boy, in addition to the man suspected of killing the man, were also shot and rescued.
According to the Ministry of Public Security (SSPDS), one of the neighbors went to the 23rd Police District to present a police report indicating that the suspect at the start of the riot was carrying a firearm. During the fight, a man who tried to intervene in the situation was shot and killed on the spot.
In a police siege, the suspect passed the vehicle in which he was driving against his own home and shortly after collided with the police car, who retaliated. The driver was shot in the hand, surrendered and was later rescued because of his injuries.
Inside the car, the suspect’s 11-year-old son was found dead.
The victims did not release their identities.
An on-site investigation was carried out to elucidate the dynamics of the incident, as well as the responsibility of the shots.
