Governmental agencies National Institute of Social Security (INSS) from all over Brazil will attend the face-to-face meetings again on Monday the 14th, after successive postponements of the reopening. However, the service will only be performed by appointment.
The Institute’s units have been closed since March, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Since then, the INSS services have been carried out remotely, by telephone or through Social Security digital channels.
At this first moment of resumption of face-to-face care, priority will be given to medical expert opinions, compliance with requirements, social assessment, professional rehabilitation, administrative and judicial justification, as well as operational monitoring of benefits.
Even with the reopening of branches, the remote service will continue to be provided. Thus, interested parties can access the website or application My INSS or call the Call Center by phone 135.
In order to provide more convenience to the public, the institute also intends to adore measures to simplify processes and extend timelines to meet requirements.
According to the INSS, to guarantee greater security for employees and policyholders, the operating time of the branches will be reduced to six continuous hours. The service must be carried out in advance, also through remote Social Security channels.
In addition, agencies that are unable to serve the public in accordance with the required security measures will continue to operate with reduced shifts.
