The couple accused of stabbing personal trainer Andressa Serantoni was denounced by the Public Ministry. The crime took place on August 12, in São José do Rio Preto (SP). Joel Fernandes Santos and Sidileide Normanha da Paixão Santos were denounced for triple homicide for useless cause, cruelty and recourse that made it difficult to defend the victim. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the two were also denounced for attempted murder doubly qualified for reasons of bad taste and crime committed to guarantee the execution of another crime. The couple were arrested on the spot and must remain in custody until they are tried.
According to the complaint, on the day of the crime, Andressa went to her mother’s house to feed the dog and Sidileide began filming her without her permission. The staff asked the woman the reason for the recording and Sidileide replied, “Are you from a gang and I can’t film you?”

Then the suspect grabbed the victim by the arms and said to her husband “come on, take us there to solve.” Joel went to the car, took two knives, came back, and handed one to the woman. The two went on to stab the victim at the same time. Andressa was hit on the neck, chest, thighs, arms and hands. She did not resist her injuries and died at the scene.
Still according to the complaint, another neighbor saw the couple committing the crime and tried to prevent it. Sidileide tried to attack him with the knife, but the man managed to escape. Soon after, the neighbor tried to take Joel de Andressa away from him, but the defendant also started trying to beat him. Joel already had a criminal record. He is accused of trying to kill a neighbor in 2015.
