Valdevina Martins, Alana Carvalho, Leonildes Vicente de Lima and Jeferson dos Reis were the occupants of the Astra that crashed head-on with a truck this morning of Monday 7, in Agronômica, in the section known as Curva do Poffo, on BR-470 . . They died on the spot.
According to information from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), they were all from the same family. Jeferson was driving the car and was accompanied by his mother-in-law (Valdevina), an aunt (Leonildes) and his cousin (Alana).
The prefectures of Monte Castelo and Santa Cecília issued a note of condolence for the deaths.
Accident on BR-470
The Fire Department was called to respond to the incident at 8:23 am. According to the rescue team, the four occupants of the car, an Astra with Santa Cecília plates, were attached to the hardware.
Despite the signs, the family was from Monte Castelo. All the victims were transferred to the General Competences Institute (IGP). Firefighters did not say the age of the victims.
In the accident, the truck driver with Chapecó plates was not injured.
